Hi, my name is Bill Sted, and I’m the founder of Truth Portal.

I’d like to tell you why I’m building Truth Portal, my biggest reason and primary motivation is to save lives! As you read this, right now, there are countless young men and women in trenches, in kill zones, and war-torn areas around the world being blown apart, maimed and killed.

As I sat on my warm, safe, comfy couch sipping coffee and watching new horrific, breaking events unfold every day. Stories of body counts rising, not only soldiers, young and old, but also civilian women and children.

For me, it became impossible to watch these events without my stomach turning over and a deep, almost overwhelming sense of sadness. Almost every night as I wrapped myself in my blankets and lay there, I would think of these soldiers huddled in their trenches. And I felt a sense of guilt, that I comforted myself that I was safe and warm in my bed.

But what could I do? Just one guy. Well, perhaps I could at least try. I have built several websites, and at present, I’m currently studying AI integrations and workflows. There’s a start, I’m also retired, so I have time to research, learn, and build.

 So, what can one guy do to help save some lives? Well, as I see it, exposing the lies and deceptions of power mongers who deceive in order to manipulate might be a good start. You don’t have to look far back in history to see this being played out. Putting a spotlight on truth versus propaganda can help stem the manipulation that these war-mongering tyrants use to forward their lethal and destructive agendas.

Lies, misinformation, and propaganda are their tools. Convince one man, you must strike first to prevent your wife and children from being raped and killed, he will take up arms. Convince a nation, and you have a war.

Will the gears of war mongering grind to a halt when it meets a wall of truth?

So what happens when the lies are exposed? Will that one man still take up arms if there’s no danger to his wife and children? Will that nation ignore the truth and go to war when they no longer believe the lie? 

Talk softly and carry a big stick might be a good defensive posture. But disarm the would-be despots before they even get to power, and you might not even need a stick. Expose their lies and propaganda, and you take away their power to manipulate.

What I’m proposing is a portal for truth, where trusted, credible news is showcased up front and center. Where analytical journalists dive deep, debunk lies, and expose the real facts behind the headlines, where readers can quickly and easily highlight and share facts and articles. Where viewers can upload and plug-in media to assess its validity.

So far in this journey, I have invested in and procured several domains, TruthPortal.net & Empower-Me.net, powerful AI automation software, automated news aggregator software, and mid-tier hosting.

Because I feel a sense of urgency at what is at stake here, lives of innocent civilians, lives of soldiers caught up in conflicts, and democracy itself.

So I spent the past few weeks, many late hours and lots of coffee, researching, designing, figuring out new software, workflows, integrations, site structures, and an implementation strategy I very much hope will gain some momentum.
